Crabby's First Anniversary

Can you believe it’s been a year since the first Invisible Inks landed? (If you can, you’re doing better than I am. I had to check the date three times!)

I want to take this time to thank all of you for your unwavering support in this endeavor.

When I first conceived of pairing hermit crab essays with invisible illnesses and sharing them with people, I wasn’t sure anyone would read them. It felt like a random concept doomed to fail within weeks.

• Could I come up with a new “shell” for every week?

• Would people respond to my words?

• Did I have the creativity to generate a matching image each time?

Turns out, everything worked.

And now, here I am a year later.

But I wouldn’t have made it this far without everyone clicking that link in their Inbox each week. And hitting “Like” at the bottom. Or sending me thoughtful comments. It means the world to me.
